Fort McPherson
- The town of Fort McPherson has a single intake system located in Deep Water Lake. The raw water is then trucked to the water treatment plant in town.
- Two aboveground holding tanks are used as well as two underground concrete cells. This water is circulated frequently to prevent freezing, hot water is also added.
- The pump and lines that remain in Deep Water Lake are heated and insulated to prevent freezing, thus making it feasible to collect water at any time throughout the year.
