Fort Providence
- The Fort Providence water treatment plant contains a permanent water intake system and the following sub-systems: water intake/wet well, raw transmission line, treatment, storage and distribution.
- Water is transported to the plant via 2 insulated HDPE pipes with submersible pumps.
- The wet well consists of a corrugated metal pipe cast in place in concrete with a manhole opening to access the tanks for operational maintenance

- The Microfloc Neptune water treatment system was built in 1994 and then re-built in 1998 to increase efficiency.
- Once treated, the water is stored in two underground storage cells and chlorination is done after filtration to prevent bacterial growth in the tanks.
- The drinkable water is then pumped into trucks with 2 submersible pumps that run the water through the truckfill arms, where extra chlorine is added. This system is tested and adjusted.
- The town has three water delivery trucks, two of which have a 11,000-litre capacity and another that can carry up to 4,500 litres.
