Jean Marie River
- The Jean Marie River water treatment system consists of a seasonal fill reservoir and a water intake system, both of which where built in 1995.
- The reservoir is filled once a year using a portable diesel pump.
- Water feeds into the treatment system from a submersible pump on an inclined shaft.
- The water truck operator uses controls located on the outside of the building to activate the pump.
- A flow switch then activates the chlorine pump to disinfect the water.
- Chlorine levels are checked daily and adjusted.
- The town has one 3,000-litre water delivery truck.
