Paulatuk
- The Paulatuk water treatment system consists of a water intake and truckfill station that were both built in 1991.
- The town draws its water from New Water Lake.
- The water intake is a 50m HDPE pipe with a heat trace system.
- A submersible pump is used to transport the water through the pipe and into the truckfill arm.
- The water truck driver activates the pump with controls on the outside of the building. The movement of water through the truckfill arm activates a chlorine flow switch to disinfect the water.
- Chlorine levels are checked daily and adjusted.
- The town has 2 water trucks, each with a 7,274-litre capacity.
