PPD's mandate is to:

purchase, transport, store, distribute, supply
and sell refined petroleum products to residents in the Northwest
Territories in a safe, economic, efficient and reliable manner;
and
-
ensure a continuous supply of refined petroleum
products adequate to meet the current needs of consumers and
the future development of the Northwest Territories
