iRIMS is the Integrated Recorded Information Management System. It is an electronic records management system that automates a wide variety of records management functions. iRIMS uses the GNWT ARCS and ORCS file classification systems and manages the retention periods and disposition of boxes, folders and electronic records.

Departments benefit from using iRIMS. They can

  • Manage their own active folders
  • Generate customized Records Management reports
  • Facilitate and automate the transfer to storage process

iRIMS uses bar code technology to manage all folders, boxes and shelf locations in the four records centres. Through iRIMS, departments can easily search and request records from any records centre.
