The Records Management Section advises and supports GNWT departments and agencies in all areas of recorded information management.
 
 
  • We develop government-wide policies, standards, and guidelines.
     
  • We maintain the GNWT Administrative Records Classification System.
     
  • We give advice on records management issues.
     
  • We give training courses and workshops on records management.
  • We operate common systems, such as the integrated Recorded Information Management System (iRIMS).
  • We work with the PWS Regional Offices to provide records storage, retrieval, and disposal services to GNWT departments and agencies.
     
    The aim of the GNWT’s records management program is to support the GNWT’s programs and services. It does this by organizing records and making them available when they are needed.
