The NWT Water Quality database is a joint project between the departments of Health & Social Services, Municipal & Community Affairs, and Public Works & Services of the Government of the Northwest Territories.

Various environmental laboratories, including Taiga Labs and Norwest Labs, have provided the data contained in this database. Some bacteriological samples have been analyzed at Yellowknife Stanton Regional Hospital, regional hospitals, as well as in the field with portable lab equipment approved by the Department of Health & Social Services, GNWT, such as the Colilert A/P Method.

The NWT Water Quality Database will be updated twice a year to ensure that information is as up to date as possible. If you require more recent testing results or additional information, please contact your regional Environmental Health Officer.
